2. How does female slotting knives work? 
Female slotting knives is used together with "male slotting knives" on the print machine,  working as a pair
On each slotting position,  2 female slotting knives are cutting against 1 male slotting knife.
Also, there is 1 female spacer ring next to femal slotting knife.


3. Splitted into 2 halves
all female slotting knives are designed as split into 2 half rings, for easier installation on flexo print machines.  So sometimes it is called "half knife"




4. Etching
Etching is an essential process for bottom slotting knives. 
Because each bottom slotting knife are split into 2 halves,  so each half must be matched with original another each.
We etching each 2 halves,  like
